Marisa Webster is a trumpeter, composer, and educator from Jacksonville, FL. She is a graduate of the prestigious Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, received her bachelor’s degree in music with a minor in entrepreneurship from Florida State University, and a master's degree in Jazz Studies From Temple University.
 

Marisa has had the great opportunity to perform at many music venues and festivals around the country including Carnegie Hall, the Detroit Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center, and the Jacksonville Jazz Festival to name a few.
 

Music education is also very important to Marisa. “I hope to provide my students with a solid foundation and inspire them to continue to grow within their musical journeys”' said Marisa. She has had the honor of being invited to be a guest speaking artist with the Savannah Music Festival Jazz Academy, the Jacksonville Arts and Music School, and spoke with students at her high school Douglas Anderson as an alumni mentor.
 

Marisa is an alumnus of The 2019 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program; an international jazz residency that features performances and compositions by the next generation of jazz greats. She has participated in the Woodshed Network; an organization founded by Dee Dee and Tulani Bridgewater, created to educate and empower women in jazz on the ins and outs of the music business. And Marisa is an alumnus of the 2021 Jazz Aspen Snowmass Jazz Academy Big band.
 

“Music is my ministry”, Ephesians 5:19 says “Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord”, “That’s my goal”.
